Architecture of the Club House

The Club takes the shape of a typical Malaysian post-war vernacular architecture where timber and brickwork are widely used. The main philosophy behind the design is a sense of ’homelines’ maintaining scale and harmony with the site and surrounding area, in turn, creating a club with rustic atmosphere amongst lush greenery and idyllic settings.

It is two-storey high and has a built-up area of 51,184 sq. ft. consisting of ground floor of 30,194 sq. ft. and first floor of 20,990 sq. ft.

The principal character of the Club is ’informality’, to create an atmosphere of friendliness and serenity. The overall layout is interesting in nature with the buildings laid along a linear pattern, all focusing on to the swimming pool area. The buildings are separated in various zones for different functions and activities and inter linked by corridors or footpaths.

Briefly, the finishes of the clubhouse comprise mainly of homogeneous floor tiles in the public entrance, walkways and pool deck. Clay tiles are used for the roof with a lot of exposed timber works (stained finish) to create a rustic appearance.
